Understanding the James Webb Space Telescope and Some First Pictures

Saturday 26th November, 4:00pm-5:00pm | Space Store Didcot

Join John Thatcher, a retired Chartered Engineer and previously the Project Manager for the Mid-InfraRed Instrument (MIRI) on the James Webb Space Telescope, for an exciting talk about the largest space telescope ever launched.  It is a little-broadcast fact that the UK had a leading role on one of the four instruments on Webb.  Learn more about this and the telescope itself plus take a look at some of the incredible photos it has sent us already.  The illustrated talk will be followed by a Q&A session.

Suitable for ages 12 and up.
