Space Activity Days Policy

Space Activity Days Policy

At Space Store, we are committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and enriching environment for all Space Activity Day participants. To ensure the smooth operation of our activities and the well-being of all attendees, we have established the following policies:

1. Lateness:

  • Space Activity Day sessions begin promptly at the designated start time. We kindly request that parents/guardians ensure their child arrives on time to minimize disruptions to the scheduled activities.
  • If a child arrives late, they may miss out on important instructions or activities. Therefore, we encourage punctuality to maximize the participant’s experience.
  • If you are more than 10 minutes late in picking up your child, Space Store reserves the right to charge a £10 late pick up fee.  The fee is due to the need to pay our staff for staying over their scheduled work.  For every additional 10 minutes late in picking up your child, Space Store reserves the right to charge an additional £10 per 10 minutes.
  • If we have not heard from you after 20 minutes of lateness, we have the right to follow our safeguarding policy to ensure the safety of your child.

2. Sickness:

  • If your child is feeling unwell or exhibiting symptoms of illness, we ask that they remain at home to prevent the spread of germs and ensure the comfort of all participants.
  • Please notify Space Store staff as soon as possible if your child will be absent due to illness. We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining a healthy environment for everyone.

3. Behaviour:

  • We expect all participants to demonstrate respectful and cooperative behaviour towards fellow participants, staff, and the camp environment.
  • Space Store promotes a positive and inclusive atmosphere where bullying, harassment, or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated.
  • In the event of behavioural issues, Space Store staff will work with the participants and their parents/guardians to address and resolve the situation in a constructive manner.

4. Nut-Free Policy:

  • Space Store is committed to providing a safe environment for participants with food allergies, particularly nut allergies.
  • We request that all packed lunches and snacks brought to Space Activity Days be free from nuts and nut products to minimize the risk of allergic reactions among our participants.
  • Please check food labels carefully to ensure compliance with our nut-free policy.

5. Belongings:

  • While we strive to provide a secure environment for all campers, we kindly remind parents/guardians that we are not responsible for any items left behind.
  • We encourage thorough checks to ensure that each child leaves with all personal belongings at the end of each day. This includes clothing, and any other personal items brought to the premises.
  • Your cooperation in reinforcing this habit with your child is greatly appreciated and helps us maintain a smooth and organized Space Activity Day experience for all participants.

Note

Space Store reserves the right to update or modify these policies as necessary to ensure the safety and well-being of all our participants.

By enrolling your child at Space Activity Days, you acknowledge and agree to adhere to the above policies. If you have any questions or concerns regarding these policies, please feel free to get in touch with the Space Activity Days team at [email protected].

Thank you for your cooperation in creating a positive and enjoyable experience for all participants at Space Activity Days.
